Every year, we only see the splendid colours of the acer for a short time - even as short as a day. So when on the day we returned from holiday, gales forecast, rushed out and took photo. Just as well. See second photo the day after the gale.
An occasional journal of jottings about my wee (very, very tiny) patio garden in Edinburgh.
I do not pretend this garden is particularly special -I'm not a plants(wo)man and I go for colour. It's quite scruffy, slug-ridden and has all the faults of an enclosed urban plot, overshadowed by neighbours' trees, a microclimate harbouring pests but it brings me joy. If you have a similar garden I hope you will enjoy this blog.
If you like my 'State of the Garden' blog, check out 'Other People's Gardens' . Since my own garden is so small, I have to get my kicks roaming around other people's gardens, stately homes, public gardens, wild spaces etc. http://stephaniegreensotherpeoplesgardens.blogspot.com/
